Music & songs have been written & composed by Lindsay Lucas BA (Hons) PGCE FRSA who has over 20 years' experience of teaching music.

Lindsay is Regional Co-ordinator for MUSIC with MUMMY, West Midlands, and has run music groups for preschool children and babies since 2000. Lindsay has been composing music since she was 11 years old, winning national competitions and having had compositions performed on the radio and in other major and small venues. In February 2008, Lindsay's musical work, 'The Magic Jigsaw' was premiered in Birmingham Town Hall. Based on a story written by the late Edward Dent, on whom the Edward Trust is founded. Performed by a 70-piece orchestra, choirs and soloists, Lindsay is proud that her compositions are gaining public recognition. She continues to compose for 'Music Within', her passion, and franchisees can expect new songs and music in the future. Discover more about Lindsay's life-long passion for music.

First and foremost, Lindsay is a Mum herself and has had personal experience of both pregnancy and childbirth, as well as the full spectrum of emotions involved in being a mother. The lyrics to the songs she has written for Music Within have been inspired by her own experiences and understanding of the tapestry of emotions and physical changes that expectant mums both enjoy and endure! As a working mum herself, she has been very aware of the need for expectant mums to find time away from their daily responsibilities and workload, to spend special time on themselves. Music Within has therefore been consciously designed to offer ladies the opportunity to indulge themselves with some well-earned 'me-time,' a special luxury that was not available to Lindsay when she was herself an expectant mum!

Lindsay has been trialling sessions of Music Within since January 2006, and the franchise was officially launched in early 2007. Her inspiration for Music Within comes from years of anecdotal evidence from mums who attended her MUSIC with MUMMY classes with their children while expecting their second child. The mums noted that their 'bump' seemed to respond positively to the music, and once born, the children seemed noticeably more relaxed and peaceful when they were brought along to their siblings' classes.

Lindsay has been greatly enouraged by professional research into the benefits of antenatal music, and personally witnesses music enhance the lives of both mums and children. Her new company, Music Within - Music Without Limited is dedicated to providing musical enrichment to pre-birth children, enhancing the existing MUSIC with MUMMY programme.
