As a Music Within class leader, the most important quality is a love of music. The ability to sing in tune is of huge benefit as it is lovely to be able to sing the songs to and with the mums during the classes. However, you are provided with both instrumental and sung versions of songs, so you can to choose whether to sing 'live' to the mums or to play the vocal version to them.

It will be advantageous if you currently run other music groups, or if you have had experience of working with pregnant women or young children. In any case, you need to be sympathetic to ladies who will experience quite complex emotions relating to their pregnancy! You also need good interpersonal skills, and must be able to generate a calming atmosphere for the class whilst maintaining a sense of fun.

As with any home business, a class leader needs to be reliable, organised, determined, self-motivated and committed to making a success of the franchise.
