The flexibility of the Music Within franchise means that you determine the size of your business. However, Music Within's founder has valuable experience of running music classes and can offer some recommendations.

Your class size will mainly be determined by your venue, but an absolute maximum of 16 mums is recommended or else they become a sea of faces!

For the 45 minute class then 15-20 minutes' social time, you are recommended to charge between £6 and £8, depending on local market comparisons.

As the class leader, you can also choose whether to operate classes only in term time, or throughout the year, given that pregnant mums will be attending alone, and will probably not be bound to school terms.

For first-time mums, evening classes normally fit more readily into their work pattern, however mums with children in school may prefer day-time classes - you can decide when you would like to run classes, depending on your own schedule and that of your potential clients.
